NEW! EXTRA LARGE ROUND PLANTER: Hypertufa Round 23” diameter planter

Just in time for the new gardening season, Stone Gardener is now offering an extra large bowl-shaped planter. This new planter will certainly create a focal point in your garden, home entrance or outdoor living space. It is an ideal platform for large displays of Succulents or Hostas.

Our goals in designing this planter were to provide gardeners with a pleasing shape with a balance of strength and weight. Unlike solid concrete containers, our Hypertufa planter achieves a large reduction in weight without sacrificing strength and aesthetics.

The new bowl-style planter comes in our signature colourings, with a hand carved stone chisel finish. Colouring is infused throughout the container and will not wash out onto the surface it is placed on; as well, it resists fading. If you place the planter in a shady area you can encourage moss growth, which will add to the overall appearance.

Dimensions: This handmade planter has a top outside diameter of 23 inches, and an outside height of 6 inches (inside diameter is 20 inches, with an inside depth of 4.5 inches). It weighs 14.5 kg (32lbs.) and thus is not overly difficult to relocate for its size. It comes with drainage holes, which may be plugged with a simple cork if you desire.

As with all our products, it will withstand winter’s freeze and thaw cycles, so it can be confidently left out all year. We back this claim with a 5-year warrantee against frost damage.
